NECK LIFT TREATMENT
PDO Thread Lift & Botox
The non-surgical procedures.
Cosmetic surgery may provide the most drastic effect in the signs of severe ageing in the neck and jawline but a surgical procedure is not right for everyone. Some patients just don’t want surgery, They want to achieve some improvements and accept the limitations. We also see many middle-aged women who want to be told they look ‘well’, rather than receive questions about who has done their cosmetic work. The gradual improvements that can be achieved by non-surgical techniques suit this demographic very well.
Many procedures can be done as ‘lunchtime’ appointments and produce no visible adverse effects. This is a significant advantage to many of the patients who don’t want to be out of action and certainly don’t want swelling, bruising or scars,”
Non-surgical procedures available for the jaw and neck
PDO Threads, Profhilo and Botulinum Toxin are good alternatives to improve neck area, stimulate collagen production, create a tighten look in the skin and relax platysma muscle.
Botulinum toxin injections
Carefully placed in the muscles of the neck, around the jaw and in the lower face, can inhibit contractions of the muscles that pull the skin down. Botulinum toxin can be used concurrently with other treatments such as Threads and can accentuate the non-surgical lifting effect or dermal fillers (Profile) which are designed to give volume underneath the skin, and can reduce the appearance of jowls and smooth folds around the mouth and creases around the lip line.
PDO Thread Lift.
PDO Threads Lift is an innovative procedure to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. Consisting in the use of Polidioxanone which is a potent synthetic fibre that dissolve after certain time in the tissue. Its is a minimal invasive procedure ,gentler than Silhouette Soft Lift .
Polidioxanone is a material that has been used in medicine for many years to assist with wound healing. Polidioxanone stimulates the tissue neocolagenesis process which cause the skin produces collagen (the protein responsible for the tension and firmness) in addition it stimulates the fibroblast skin cells to produce elastin ( the protein responsible for skin elasticity). And also PDO Threads have got a mechanical effect to lift the skin.
There are a number of benefits to the patient when using PDO Threads to lift and tighten the neck and jaw area. It does not require a general anaesthetic and the treatment itself can be performed in 30 to 60 minutes. In addition, as the procedure requires no incisions to be made, the downtime and recovery is minimal, with the patient feeling well immediately after treatment and any potential downtime is limited to a week or so, compare with surgery which comes with a recovery time of six weeks plus.
The results last for up to 18 months – thanks to the threads being made of polidioxanone, they gradually dissolve over a 12-18 month period but the collagen that is created after the treatment is carried out helps to extend the period of lifting and tightening. For some patients, Thread lift will allow them to delay or even avoid the need for cosmetic surgery and improve the quality of the skin.
